Introduction

Founded by Ebony Strachan, LMHC, High Water Mental Health Counseling was created from the belief that healing begins when people have a safe, supportive space to be seen, understood, and empowered. Ebony takes an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from evidence-based practices, faith-based foundation, and a trauma-informed lens to help clients better understand themselves, navigate challenges, and develop the tools needed to create meaningful change. With a background in forensic mental health counseling and victimology studies, Ebony brings compassion, curiosity, and cultural responsiveness into her work with clients. She believes therapy is not about changing who you are—it is about reconnecting with your strengths, honoring your experiences, and creating a path forward that aligns with your values.
