Introduction

Welcome! I’m Elena Hernandez-Cordova, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, yoga therapist, and founder of Embrace Psychotherapy & Education. For more than 20 years, I have helped individuals, couples, and families navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, major life transitions, and the complicated process of rediscovering themselves. My approach is warm, compassionate, direct, and deeply human. I believe healing happens when we feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported—not judged or reduced to a diagnosis. Together, we will explore the experiences and patterns that may be keeping you stuck while developing practical tools to help you feel safer, more grounded, and more connected to yourself and others. I integrate evidence-based psychotherapy with mindfulness, somatic awareness, yoga therapy, and holistic wellness practices. My work is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and grounded in respect for each client’s identity, beliefs, strengths, and lived experience. Reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, but you do not have to navigate everything alone. I would be honored to walk alongside you as you create meaningful and lasting change—because at Embrace, healing becomes a lifestyle.
