Hi! I’m Elisabeth Emmerich, owner and therapist of Creekside Counseling. As a licensed professional clinical counselor (LPCC) and Registered Play Therapist (RPT). I help women navigate anxiety, perfectionism, and the lingering effects of childhood trauma, while also supporting kids and teens through anxiety, trauma and life transitions. As a mom of three, I bring firsthand understanding of the pressures of motherhood to a warm, compassionate, and practical approach that helps clients untangle old patterns and create meaningful change. Looking for the right counselor can be challenging these days, and you’re wondering if I may be a good fit for you. The therapeutic relationship is a key element in determining how effective therapy will be and how much change can occur over time. It’s important that you feel comfortable with your therapist. My areas of expertise include anxiety, trauma, depression, postpartum mental health, parenting concerns, relationship issues, behavioral concerns, family issues, and life transitions. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children, taking lots of walks with my dog, and exploring new restaurants and shops in the Twin Cities.
