Introduction

Hi, I’m Elissa. I’m an LCSW with over 15 years of experience. I began my career studying ecology and the complex web of interrelationships that define natural systems. From there I became interested in human relationships and spent my early career as a Social Worker in non-profit agencies, schools, and hospitals before transitioning to private practice. I also have studied yoga, dance, and acting extensively. Most days, you can find me in my garden, near the ocean, or out and about enjoying nature. Common questions that are the focus of my approach include; How do you find meaning and create a life worth living? How do you create a more vital connection with yourself? What gets in the way of you achieving your goals? I enjoy working with individuals searching for a life of purpose. My focus is an empathic, warm, and collaborative approach to help you access your innate resiliency. I often integrate concepts from Ecotherapy, Yoga, and Jungian Psychology into my sessions. As an integrative holistic therapist, my goal is to create a safe relationship to help you uncover your true potential and understand the negative stories that create barriers in your life. I work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues and provide services that include therapy for depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship concerns, family of origin issues and beyond. In a supportive atmosphere, I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to your individual needs. By applying complementary therapy approaches, we will unearth long-standing patterns or perceptions that may be holding you back. I take an active approach to therapy and draw upon my training in Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Relational Life Therapy to facilitate insight into thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationship patterns. As a fellow life traveler I can say that while the path may be long and winding, it is profoundly rich and rewarding if you participate in the healing that is possible. Keep going!
