I’m Liz Fiocca, LPCC-S, PMH-C, a therapist specializing in women’s and perinatal mental health. I work with women who are often used to being the capable one — the planner, the helper, the person everyone else relies on. You may look like you’re managing everything from the outside while internally feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck in your head, disconnected from yourself, or simply exhausted from carrying so much. Therapy with me is warm, conversational, and active. I’m not going to sit quietly and nod for an hour. I’ll ask questions, help you notice patterns, offer a different perspective, and challenge you when it feels useful. We’ll make space for what you’re feeling while also figuring out what might actually help. Much of my work centers around anxiety, OCD and intrusive thoughts, pregnancy and postpartum, infertility and trying to conceive, pregnancy loss, birth trauma, motherhood, burnout, relationships, identity, and the transitions that can leave you wondering why something feels so much harder than you expected. My interest in perinatal mental health is deeply personal as well as professional. My own experiences with pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood have shaped the way I understand these seasons — including how complicated, isolating, and overwhelming they can sometimes feel. I bring that perspective to my work without assuming your experience looks anything like mine. I have more than 10 years of experience in the mental health field and specialized training in perinatal mental health. My approach draws from CBT, ACT, trauma-informed therapy, and DBT-informed strategies, but I don’t believe therapy should feel like a collection of worksheets or techniques. The approach should fit you, not the other way around. You don’t need to have the right words or know exactly where to begin. We can start with what’s happening now and figure out the rest together. I provide virtual therapy for adults throughout Ohio through Vela Women’s Mental Health.
