“Hi, I'm Elizabeth and I'm so glad you're here!” Elizabeth believes therapy doesn't have to be stiff or serious all the time. In fact, she believes feeling comfortable enough to be your full, unfiltered self – including laughing, swearing, crying, or just sitting quietly – is where the real work happens. She uses humor, compassion, and a deep respect for your lived experience to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are. A big part of her work is helping folks build a better relationship with their bodies — whether you're fat, thin, in between, transitioning, aging, disabled, or just feeling disconnected from yourself. She approaches body image through the lens of fat acceptance and body liberation, and together can explore what it means to live in your body without shame, pressure, or apology. Elizabeth is trained in EMDR and also pulls from modalities like CBT, DBT, and IFS. She works with people of all ages and has a special interest in how online life (social media, gaming, online dating, etc.) impacts our mental health and self-image. As a queer person herself, she understands the importance of feeling seen, safe, and understood, and aims to offer that to every client she meets.
