I’m Elizabeth Lucarelli, a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience helping adults navigate anxiety, ADHD, depression, chronic health concerns, grief, relationship and family stress, and major life transitions. I provide virtual individual therapy to adults in Michigan, Ohio, and Florida. My style is warm, relaxed, practical, and straightforward. I believe you are the driver in therapy and I am the navigator. You decide where you want to go, and I help you understand what may be getting in the way and find realistic ways to move forward. I’m an active therapist, so I won’t just sit back and listen. I’ll ask questions, offer perspective, help you recognize patterns, and give you practical tools you can use outside of our sessions. I use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing, adapting my approach to what works best for you. Therapy doesn’t need to feel overly clinical or one-size-fits-all. Sometimes you may need space to process; other times we may focus more on problem-solving, building skills, or making a specific change. My background includes extensive work in medical and behavioral health settings, as well as 11 years working with veterans and their families. This experience has shaped my understanding of how mental health connects with physical health, relationships, caregiving, loss, work, and the many responsibilities people manage in everyday life. You don’t need to know exactly what you need from therapy before you start. We can figure that out together. My goal is for you to feel comfortable being yourself, while also making meaningful progress. I want you to leave our sessions feeling heard and understood, but also with greater insight, useful strategies, and a clearer sense of what to do next.
