Hi, I’m Elizabeth Ruhl, a Licensed Clinical Psychologist dedicated to helping people navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, resilience, and self-compassion. My approach to therapy is grounded in evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness. These approaches help clients build awareness, develop coping tools, and create meaningful change in their daily lives. I work with individuals navigating a wide range of concerns—whether it’s anxiety, grief, stress, insomnia, or the challenges that come with life transitions. At the heart of my work is the belief that therapy should feel collaborative and supportive. I strive to create a space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to contemplate the changes you wish to take. Over the course of my career, I’ve had the privilege of working in diverse clinical settings, including UCSF, San Francisco General Hospital, California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC), One Medical, and the Institute on Aging (IOA). These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the strength that people carry and has shaped the compassionate approach that I take. In addition to my general practice, I have a special interest in supporting people living with chronic health conditions, including cancer. I understand how the emotional impact of illness can touch every part of life, and I’m passionate about helping clients find strength, balance, and meaning through those experiences. Whether you’re seeking support for a specific health challenge or simply looking for a compassionate therapist to help you navigate life’s ups and downs, I’m look forward to supporting you on your journey.
