Introduction

Elizabeth Tate is the owner and professional counselor of Misty Mountains Counseling, PLLC. She specializes in working with adult individuals and people in relationships on a variety of issues including but not limited to anxiety, ADHD, depression, bipolar disorders, emerging adulthood and life transitions, gender-affirming care, school issues, relationship issues, self-harm, suicidal ideation, trauma, and non-monogamy. She is a nerd, geek, and gamer, and welcomes using these references in therapy to understand your life experiences. Her theoretical orientation is based in psychodynamic counseling. This means she is interested in how your life experiences have made you the person you are, and how we can heal the experiences that may have caused pain. She also utilizes DBT and ACT skills-based counseling to alleviate distress while we address those deep things. She is passionate about providing culturally aware and responsive mental health services to a diverse clientele. Many of her clients experience marginalization including racism, sexism, ableism, transphobia, homophobia, and other oppressions. She welcomes the naming of these forces in the therapy space and is happy to explore identity, privilege, and oppression with you. OFFICE LOCATION: 350 Terry St Longmont, CO 80501
