Introduction

Services and Areas of Specialty: Dr. Zhe specializes in working with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families and schools. She is a licensed psychologist and a state and nationally certified school psychologist. Dr. Zhe strives to understand and honor the uniqueness of each individual and family. She joins her clients in identifying their strengths, areas for development, and in investigating the goodness of fit between an individual and environmental variables. Each client joins with her in setting and reaching personalized goals. She conducts comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and evaluations of cognitive functioning, ADHD, learning differences/learning disabilities, twice exceptionality, executive function, and social-emotional-behavioral challenges. Her therapy interests include emotion regulation, anxiety, fear management (social anxiety, night time fears, etc.), stress management, life transitions, self-worth, and working with individuals experiencing challenges related to ADHD and learning disabilities. She also specializes in accommodation planning and parent and school consultations.  Dr. Zhe strives to truly see and understand the uniqueness of each individual. She believes a foundation of trust and unconditional positive regard are key to growth and flourishing. Dr. Zhe's treatment approach is eclectic and tailored to each individual and family. She incorporates evidence-based and relationally based treatments in an effort to support an individual and their family in attaining goals that improve functioning and quality of life. Her approach focuses on the whole person, is strength and value based, and comprises acceptance and affirmation. Dr. Zhe is supportive, non-judgemental, and respectful of a person's identity. She appreciates and values people of all backgrounds and cultures. People of all races, religions, genders, sexual orientations, body types, and identities are welcome in her office spaces.  Background: Dr. Zhe earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the State University of New York, College at Geneseo. She then pursued studies at the University at Albany, State University of New York, where she received a Master of Science in Educational Psychology and Methodology, a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in School Psychology, and a Doctorate of Psychology in School Psychology. A predoctoral internship and postdoctoral work followed at Boys Town, NE, working with youth in residential care and families from the Omaha community in a behavioral pediatrics outpatient clinic. Dr. Zhe has since worked in independent schools, and in outpatient care wherein she has served a diverse population of youth. She is also an author of several peer-reviewed publications.  In her down time, Dr. Zhe enjoys classical pilates, being active, expanding her mindfulness and meditation practices, and spending time with her two daughters, family, and friends. Location: Dr. Zhe sees clients in person and through telehealth. Dr. Zhe has an Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) and Temporary Authorization to Practice (TAP) granted by the PSYPACT Commission, which based on an interstate compact, allows her to practice telepsychology and conduct temporary in-person psychology across state boundaries with clients in states who are part of PSYPACT.
