Introduction

Hi, I’m Emily. I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker providing therapy to children, teens, adults, and families across Alabama. My experience includes community mental health, school-based therapy, and outpatient care, which has shaped a flexible, thoughtful, and collaborative approach to the work I do. My approach is trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including CBT and CPT. I believe therapy should feel supportive, individualized, and responsive to who you are. I also value somatic approaches that help clients build awareness of the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and physical experiences. Throughout our work together, I aim to meet you with curiosity, compassion, and respect while tailoring therapy to your unique needs, experiences, and goals. I also provide Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) for young children and their caregivers, with a focus on strengthening the parent-child relationship, encouraging positive interactions, and building greater connection within the family. I’m here to meet you where you are and help you move toward the kind of support, connection, and growth that feels meaningful to you.
