Hi there! I'm Emily, and I'm glad you've found your way here. Starting therapy can be a big step. Here's a little bit of what you can expect in session with me. I practice from a depth-oriented, psychodynamic lens. That means I'm endlessly curious about what it's like to be you and how early experiences impact your life today. I think at its best, psychotherapy is meant to be creative and collaborative. You are the expert on your experience, and I bring my training and education into a conversation about what it's been like to be you. I think building a strong relationship with your therapist is where change often starts. I have a special interest in working with individuals and couples asking questions about their intimate lives. Many wonder, is this normal? How does this get better? In 2025, I completed a training program at the University of Michigan in sexual health and sex therapy and spend most days talking with individuals and couples about their relationships and sex lives. Our sexual stories are complex and sacred. It's a privilege to create space for these important and intimate conversations. My hope is that together, we can work to connect the dots so you can start to feel a little more at home on the inside. My approach is holistic. I'm interested in what's happening in your body, in your mind and in your heart. I value all cultural and sexual identities and honor each individual's unique experience. I look forward to meeting you and getting started together.
