Introduction

I got into this work because I got tired of watching smart, capable people talk themselves out of getting help — usually because they'd already diagnosed themselves, read the books, and decided therapy was for people with bigger problems than theirs. You're probably one of them. The one people come to for advice, who handles things, who doesn't fall apart — at least not where anyone can see. Somewhere underneath the competence is a critic that never clocks out, and a low hum of shame that convinces you the way you're struggling doesn't even count as a "real" problem. If that sounds familiar, you're probably also the type who's skeptical of therapy-speak and allergic to the shallow version of help — the five-step worksheets, the "just think positive" stuff that never touched what's actually going on. I work with high-functioning adults dealing with exactly that: chronic overthinking, an inner critic with no off switch, and shame that hides in plain sight. My approach draws on ACT, IFS, and RO-DBT — not because the modality matters more than the fit, but because I'm interested in what's actually driving the pattern, not just managing its symptoms. If you're looking for someone who won't flinch at directness, won't oversimplify what you're carrying, and won't waste your time, that's what I'm here for. If you read this and felt a little *too* seen, that's usually a good sign.
