Welcome. I’m Emily Carvajal, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina and New York. For more than 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside children, teens, and adults as they navigate anxiety, depression, family stress, grief, chronic illness, and major life transitions. I’ve seen how much pressure people feel to hold it all together and appear “okay,” even when they’re overwhelmed inside. So often, that pressure turns into self-blame when life doesn’t match the unrealistic expectations placed on us. You don’t have to carry that alone. I’m especially passionate about supporting people who are stepping into new or shifting roles—entering parenthood, raising young children, caregiving for loved ones, redefining boundaries in relationships, or finding their footing after loss. These seasons can be meaningful and beautiful, but they can also be exhausting, confusing, and heavy. At the core of my work is a deep belief in the dignity and inherent worth of every person. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and truly heard. Together, we can build self-compassion, strengthen your confidence, and help you move toward a life that feels more grounded, connected, and fulfilling.
