We all have our own life stories, strengths, and obstacles. Life can be challenging, but within each of us lies a wellspring of strength, whether we can see it or not. My goal as a mental health counselor is to create a space where we can meet in a genuine and authentic way to identify and overcome the obstacles that are creating conflict and distress in your life. I view therapy through a systemic lens, considering how your family, social circles, and societal influences have shaped you. By examining these angles, we gain a deeper understanding of what makes you, you. I use a person-centered, strengths-based approach that incorporates Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), humanistic, and existential theories to build resilience and help clients better understand their emotions. I continually work toward being an antiracist, LGBTQIA+ supporting, and multiculturally competent provider. I use Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for clients with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). If you have a diagnosis or are wondering whether you might have PTSD, feel free to reach out for a consultation or intake session to discuss whether CPT might be the right therapy approach for you. I also provide treatment options for Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Metacognitive therapy, ACT, and Inference-Based CBT.
