Life has a way of piling on stress, transitions, and uncertainty — and sometimes it can feel like you’re expected to just “handle it.” But feeling overwhelmed doesn’t mean you’re failing. It means you’re human. If you’re anxious, emotionally exhausted, shutting down, overreacting, or simply tired of trying to manage everything on your own, you don’t have to keep doing it alone. Real strength can grow in a space where you’re supported, understood, and given tools that actually fit your brain and nervous system. Emily specializes in emotion regulation for anxious, depressed, and neurodiverse minds, working with individuals ages 10 and up. She helps clients build practical skills for managing overwhelming emotions, improving communication, and strengthening resilience during life transitions. Because emotional overwhelm often shows up differently in neurodivergent and trauma-impacted nervous systems, Emily takes an affirming, individualized approach. She integrates neurodivergent-affirming practices, DBT-informed emotion regulation skills, trauma-informed care, and grief support — weaving evidence-based strategies with warmth, collaboration, and compassion. Her goal isn’t to “fix” you. It’s to come alongside you — helping you understand your patterns, strengthen regulation skills, and move forward with greater effectiveness and self-trust. **I offer virtual and in-person sessions for Texas residents and virtual appointments only for Maryland residents.**
