I am a student counselor working towards being a Licensed Professional Counselor. My B.S. in psychology is from Ohio University, and I am currently in Wright State University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling master’s program. Additionally, I’m passionately pursuing a certification in trauma-informed counseling and have research experience working with ADHD and eating disorders. Despite my newness in the field, I’m confident that my determination and diligence will reflect in my ability to encourage you through the ups and downs of life. I am interested in working with a diverse range of clients, as I value treating the person rather than their problem. However, adolescents and adults struggling with self-esteem, stress management, anxiety, trauma, LGBTQIA+ issues, or coping with neurodivergence are the people that I am most driven to help. My own lived experience of neurodivergence, queerness, and surviving trauma gives me a high level of empathy and understanding for these populations. I wish to continue developing my warm, creative approach to therapy, which provides a safe, non-judgmental, compassionate and empowering environment. My goal is not to be a guide; rather, I strive to understand your unique worldview and be a fellow observer, walking next to you on your life’s path, pointing out the things I notice along the way and providing education. Supporting you through your own personal journey of growth and healing is my top priority. I will further enhance my competence in providing evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. My overall approach to therapy is strengths-based and person-centered. I’m an artist, an avid music-listener and concertgoer, and cat lover. Additionally, I enjoy spending time with my family, being in nature, doing yoga, and meditating. My creativity and love and appreciation for our world is the fuel that motivates me in my pursuit of becoming an ethical and effective therapist.
