Hi! My name is Emma Gibson, and I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor. I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Scranton. I have experience working with both adolescents and adults across a variety of settings, including outpatient therapy, crisis counseling, and school-based environments. I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, and trauma. My goal as a counselor is to create a collaborative, strengths-based, and culturally responsive therapeutic space where clients feel safe, supported, and understood. My approach is primarily person-centered, while also integrating evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I work at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable, tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs, goals, and lived experiences. I am passionate about helping clients develop practical coping strategies, increase self-awareness, and build resilience as they navigate life transitions, stress, anxiety, and other emotional challenges. Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with animals, practicing yoga, traveling, and trying new coffee spots.
