Introduction

My name is Emma and I am a Licensed Couple and Family Therapist in Maryland. I have been working with individuals, couples, and families since 2015 and truly love being a part of someone's journey to health and healing. I completed my B.S. in Psychology and Family Science as well as my M.S. in Couple and Family Therapy from the University of Maryland, College Park (Go Terps!). I specialize in working with individual adults and couples who are dealing with a variety of life-stressors and changes. I most commonly work with couples issues, attachment issues, past trauma, self-esteem issues, anxiety, and grief. My goal is to help my clients feel heard and understood in order for them to hear and understand the deepest parts of themselves. I believe we all have a story to tell, and that story informs our present day experiences. My hope is that with the security and support of therapy, you will be able to understand your story with compassion for who you are and with the motivation to let go of what is no longer serving you. I am of the belief and practice that change needs to be wanted and through self-discovery, empathy, and hope, I will help you come to a place where you want to make change for your family and yourself.
