Introduction

As a fat and queer person, my work is influenced heavily by my values in anti-racism, anti-capitalism, relationship anarchy, community care, kinship with the natural world, queer and intersectional feminist theory, fat liberation and disability justice. My approach is direct, collaborative and relational, and our work together will be trauma-informed, sex-positive, and client-led. I'm a strong believer that our bodies hold inherent wisdom, and that they are trustworthy. I also believe that the stories we tell ourselves shape our realities, and that therapy is a unique and powerful exploration of those stories. I dream of co-creating a therapeutic environment where you can take up space, breathe a sigh of relief, and be courageous in your exploration of yourself. I also believe that we don’t get hurt alone, and we don’t heal alone. The relational, environmental and institutional systems we exist within shape who we are and how we move through the world. Relational therapy is one way to tend to the ties that bind us - to find more radically authentic, compassionate and liberated ways of existing in community. I’d love to see you and your partner(s), you and your mother, you and your bestie, or any other configuration that makes up the constellation of your kin. I utilize a somatic parts work approach, with a foundation in embodiment and the impacts of our developmental experiences. I’m also a brainspotting practitioner, which is one of many ways that mind-body connection plays a role in my therapeutic approach. Often, I find that the work of therapy is really a chance to reparent ourselves - to meet with tender inner children who are in need of our attention and care.
