I'm passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges with compassion and understanding. I provide a safe, welcoming environment where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences, develop healthy coping skills, and work toward meaningful and lasting change. My approach to psychotherapy is integrative and tailored to each client's individual needs. I utilize evidence-based interventions, including Person-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to help clients develop practical coping skills, increase emotional awareness, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and build lives that align with their personal values. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Human Services from Buena Vista University in 2008. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of human service settings, providing support to individuals and families through family services, child development programs, and case management. These experiences strengthened my understanding of the unique challenges people face across different stages of life and reinforced my passion for helping others. In 2023, I earned my Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Buena Vista University. Since then, I have worked in both clinical mental health settings and private practice, providing psychotherapy to adolescents and adults experiencing a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and stress.
