Introduction

I'm Emu Aragon (he/him) - a Queer, Latino, first-generation, bilingual (Spanish), Licensed Professional Counselor - Mental Health Service Provider in Tennessee and Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina. Additionally, I am an Approved Clinical Supervisor for master's level counseling students and a National Certified Counselor. My practice is grounded in a trauma-informed, relational, and authentic approach that honors your unique values, cultural identity, lived experience, and the many ways minds and nervous systems work - including neurodivergent and autistic experiences. I am especially passionate about supporting people from the margins, including People of Color, Queer and Transgender individuals, neurodivergent folks (ADHD and autism), and those in consensual non-monogamous or polyamorous relationships. I provide therapy to individuals ages 12 and older, as well as people in monogamous and ethically non-monogamous relationships, including couples and polycules. I integrate evidence-based approaches into your care, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), while honoring the cultural and innate wisdom you carry. As a Tennessee transplant residing in North Carolina I offer virtual therapy to residents of both states. I offer in-person therapy to NC residents through Banyan Tree Counseling & Wellness in Winston-Salem, NC. If you live in North Carolina - particularly in the Winston-Salem area - and plan to use commercial insurance, please schedule with me through Banyan Tree Counseling & Wellness at banyantreecounseling.com Wherever you are on your journey, know that it's okay to be there. Thank you for considering allowing me to walk beside you with compassion, curiosity, and care. Ready to take the next step? Schedule a consultation or reach out to learn more about working together.
