Available to online clients throughout Portland and across Oregon. Anxiety can be exhausting. Not just the racing thoughts, but the constant inner pressure. Do you have that familiar voice that tells you to “be better,” “do more,” or “come on, hold it together?” You may feel caught between parts of yourself: one striving to cope and stay in control, another overwhelmed, ashamed, or wondering if you’re enough. Even when you appear capable on the outside, something inside feels unsettled. You may have been trying self-help strategies or taking advice from people who care about you. Some of it may help temporarily, but the deeper patterns like perfectionism, overthinking, and self-criticism keep resurfacing. You’re not looking for a quick fix. You’re ready for meaningful, lasting change. My work integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS Level 1 trained through the IFS Institute) with mindfulness-based psychotherapy and a Person-Centered foundation. Rather than trying to eliminate anxiety or silence your inner critic, we explore the protective patterns that developed for good reasons and help them relax their roles. As we slow down and make sense of what’s happening inside, anxiety often becomes less intense and more workable. Self-criticism softens as you begin to feel steadier, clearer, and more trusting of yourself. As a Queer therapist, I provide LGBTQ+ affirming care for clients navigating identity-based stress, internalized shame, or the impact of marginalization. You won’t be treated as broken here. Therapy with me is not about fixing who you are. My approach focuses on understanding what’s been getting in the way of showing up more fully. Clients who work with me are often thoughtful, reflective, and growth-oriented. They want depth, not surface-level coping skills. They value a steady, collaborative therapeutic relationship and are ready to invest in their healing. If you’re tired of fighting yourself and ready for a steadier relationship with who you are, we can begin that work together.
