Drawing from my experiences at Sevita as an In-home Family Therapist and my time at VOA Mass (MBVC), working with veterans transitioning from homelessness and incarceration and later as outpatient/residential therapist provided me with a trauma-focused approach and a deeper appreciation of human resilience, which is essential in motivating adult’s and children alike ~ The knowledge gained from working with veterans has shaped my therapeutic methods. I've integrated skills such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques, diaphragmatic breathing, and mindfulness into my practice. Elements of play and art therapies are also brought into sessions.
