Introduction

Hello there! I am Ericka Jobe, a social worker who is licensed at the clinical level in Kansas and Oklahoma. I have a diverse educational and professional background that includes earning a PhD in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, a Master’s degree in Social Work, and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Before my graduate studies, I worked in the field of social services for over 10 years, primarily with children and families. I have extensive experience in case management and providing therapy to children in the foster care system. My roles have included supervisory positions, such as an adoption program manager and a foster care supervisor. I also have significant experience working with clients diagnosed with personality disorders, having worked as a clinician in a maximum-security prison. Wanting to provide the best service possible, I have become certified as a Personality Disorder Treatment Provider. While I was completing my master’s degree, my clinical practicum placement was at the COMCARE Crisis Center, providing crisis therapy services to uninsured clients. This experience deepened my commitment to serving underserved and marginalized populations. While I have a solid foundation in working with children facing significant trauma, my specialty has evolved to treating members of the LGBTQIA+ community. My area of focus is working with transgender, non-binary, and gender queer individuals. Most of my clients identify in this manner. I am a proud member of the Wichita LGBT+ Health Coalition, and I am dedicated to providing a safe, affirming space for my clients and anyone else who happens to find themselves in my office. I enjoy working with adolescents and adults in individual, couple, and family settings, utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques. My goal is to create a safe and comfortable environment where you feel heard and supported. I offer free consultations to discuss your needs, expectations, and any concerns, ensuring that you feel comfortable and confident in your therapy journey. Whether you are facing personal challenges or seeking support for your family, I will bring a comprehensive and empathetic approach to help you navigate life's challenges and foster personal growth.
