Hello, my name is Erika Gardner and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Mental Health from Southern New Hampshire University and am currently pursuing a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University. Over the past five years, I have gained extensive experience working with neurodivergent children, as well as adolescents and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental health disorders in in-home settings. In addition, I bring personal insight into supporting children, youth, and adults with prenatal substance exposure, autism, ADHD, and trauma histories. My counseling approach is grounded in trauma-informed and attachment-based perspectives, and I actively pursue training in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Theraplay. I am currently practicing under the supervision of Meghan Scanlan, LCSW, M.Ed., as I work toward becoming a licensed clinical mental health counselor.
