Your teen may be withdrawing, struggling at school, becoming overwhelmed by emotions, or refusing to talk about what is wrong. Young adults may feel anxious, depressed, misunderstood, or stuck between wanting independence and feeling unprepared for adulthood. I work with teens and young adults ages 12–25 who are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, emotional dysregulation, family or relationship concerns, substance use, and difficult life transitions. I understand that many young people are hesitant about counseling, especially when they have felt misunderstood or pressured to talk before they were ready. I use a flexible and collaborative approach that considers each client’s interests, communication style, strengths, developmental needs, and readiness to engage. Therapy may include conversation, practical skill building, emotional-regulation work, structured activities, and developmentally appropriate family involvement. I entered the counseling field because I wanted to support young people who feel alone, misunderstood, or uncertain about their future. Personal experiences with grief, addiction, neurodivergence, and the impact of mental health concerns on families have shaped the compassion and purpose I bring to this work. My professional background includes graduate training emphasizing child and adolescent disorders, experience as a Registered Behavior Technician, and therapeutic coaching through crisis outreach.
