Being pregnant and having a baby are experiences that can look different than we imagined. My work is based on the idea that, as humans, we all do what is necessary to survive in the world and sometimes our strategies stop working for us. During the perinatal period, the "surviving" can be even more complicated as we are navigating new roles and changing relationships - often on not enough sleep. In therapy, we identify helpful strategies to use during this time including noticing and challenging unhelpful self talk that can get in the way of change. You truly deserve to enjoy your pregnancy and also the experience of being a new parent.
