Introduction

Erin Iwamoto, PsyD is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in persistent pain psychology. At the heart of pain psychology, Dr. Iwamoto believes in listening to the patient’s pain narrative and taking the time to hear their story of how pain began and developed over the course of time, and how it has impacted their every day functioning. This may include your relationships with loved ones, school, work, sleep, your ability to engage in simple every day tasks, or the impact of the negative stigma you have encountered as a result of having pain, and any combination of the above. At Alpine Relief Therapy, Dr. Iwamoto will take the time to work with you to develop an individualized treatment plan based on your personal goals to improve your quality of life and overall functioning. Rather than focusing on your pain solely as a number, Dr. Iwamoto hopes to work with you to develop goals to slowly find the person you would like to become.
