Introduction

Beginning psychotherapy is making an investment in yourself. It takes time and presence, and with the right kind of support, can bring a sense of relief and a gentler way of relating to oneself. Together we illuminate underlying issues and old beliefs which could be influencing the challenges that bring you into therapy. My priority is to offer a safe space for whatever arises and to accompany each person in gaining insight and accessing inherent wisdom. Before working together, I offer a free initial consultation so we can get a sense of whether we might be a good fit. The first few sessions will offer an idea of how the therapeutic relationship is developing and in what direction the course of treatment will go. I work with adults on an individual basis and folks from all races, genders and sexualities. Areas of focus are developmental trauma, attachment, relationships, grief, loss, and personal growth. I generally work from a psychodynamic foundation and incorporate additional modalities as they prove to be useful, drawing from attachment theory, family systems, nervous system frameworks, mindfulness, and EMDR.
