I bring more than 25 years of experience in the mental health field, along with a unique background in art, creativity, and experiential therapy. I work with children, teens, adults, and families, offering a warm, collaborative approach tailored to each person’s needs and goals. I hold a B.S. in Art Education with a minor in Art Therapy and an M.A. in Marriage, Family & Child Counseling with a Certificate in Art Therapy. My additional training includes 500-hour and 200-hour yoga teacher trainings, iRest Level I Meditation Training, and clinical hypnosis. I have extensive experience facilitating individual, family, and experiential groups, including art therapy, mindfulness, yoga, relaxation, and coping-skills groups. I believe therapy is a process of developing greater self-understanding, building practical tools, and finding new ways to move through life’s challenges. My approach integrates psychotherapy with creative expression and experiential practices when appropriate, helping clients explore their thoughts and feelings, build on their strengths, and create meaningful change. No artistic experience is necessary—creative approaches are always optional and adapted to each client’s comfort level. I also facilitate online art groups through Paper Carrot Studio, bringing my background in art therapy and clinical experience to creative group experiences.
