Hi! I’m Erin (she/her), a Licensed Professional Counselor and the founder of Peace Community Counseling. Before becoming a counselor, I spent more than 20 years as an educator, supporting children, teens, and families. I loved teaching, but I found myself especially drawn to the social-emotional side of helping young people build confidence, navigate challenges, and develop healthy ways of understanding and expressing their emotions. I eventually returned to school to pursue my dream of becoming a counselor and earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with specialized training in Adventure and Nature Therapy, Social Justice Counseling, and Group Counseling for Teens. I have also had the meaningful opportunity to work with older adults, and these experiences have shaped my passion for working with teens, young adults, and older adults. I strive to create a space where you feel seen, respected, understood, and never alone in navigating what comes next. My approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and grounded in authentic connection. Outside of counseling, you’ll usually find me spending time with family, friends, and my pets, exploring new places, getting outdoors, or being near the water!I believe we never stop learning and growing—and that taking care of ourselves is an important part of that journey! Credentials: Ohio Licensed Professional Counselor (C.2608516) I practice under the supervision of Brian Strozewski, LPCC-S, CCAT.
