Introduction

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience supporting and treating individuals who have experienced traumatic events, life adjustments, and significant mental health symptoms. For much of my career, I have worked exclusively with survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse, and sexual assault. Due to my work with clients struggling with a broad range of mental health symptoms, presenting problems, and traumatic experiences, I believe in the inherent strength of individuals. I will strive to empower you to heal and grow in what you feel is most important. I believe in a client-centered perspective of validating each individual's experience, while utilizing evidence based interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), culturally sensitive, LGBTQIA+, gender sensitive approaches, and a strengths based approach. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to treat symptoms of PTSD and complex trauma. I primarily see adolescent and adult clients and I look forward to helping you set and accomplish goals and build upon your strengths and abilities. A few facts about me as a person: * I love all animals but I am a cat person! * My hobbies include reading, Lego building, tv shows, and watching anime (my favorite is One Piece). * I'm a parent and stepparent.
