After retiring from the United States Air Force in 2004, I earned my Masters Degree in Professional Counseling to continue a lifetime of service. My post degree training consists of becoming a Certified Cognitive Behavior Therapist by the Beck Institute and a Level 3 approved provider of The Gottman Method Couple Therapy through the Gottman Institute. I am also trained in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy by the Ellis Institute; Traumatic Incident Reduction by the Metaphysical Society; Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing by EMDRIA approved EMDR Consulting. Following 28 years of military service, including two deployments to Iraq, I have experienced loss, hurt, anxiety, depression and marriage challenges. These experiences have benefited me in helping others to understand, manage and/or recover from similar life challenges. Life is a cycle of ups and downs. Understanding how your brain functions, your conflict resolution style, attachment style, personality style, etc... can help you to make positive changes that will help to lift your spirits and enjoy life as it is meant to be. I look forward to working with you.
