My Specialties I am a warm and compassionate Clinical Psychologist skilled in providing individual and family therapy. Areas of expertise include Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness based interventions to treat anxiety disorders such as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety, Phobias, Social Anxiety, and Panic. I also have specialized training in treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and use Motivational Interviewing to help people develop motivation to make meaningful changes. Other specialties include parent training and child behavior management. I use evidence-based practices to help you achieve lasting, satisfying, personal growth. My Approach I focus on developing collaborative therapeutic relationships, and place your strengths and goals at the center of my practice. I care deeply about my clients and appreciate the courage it takes to attend therapy. I therefore strive to communicate respect by listening fully and requesting feedback about our work together. I view therapy as a process of getting to know a person or family deeply and partnering with them as they move in the direction of their goals. My Training and Education I completed my Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at Suffolk University in Boston and received my BA from Barnard College of Columbia University. In addition to my experience at Harvard’s McLean Hospital, I also trained at the Behavior Management Clinic at Kennedy Krieger and at the BU Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders. I worked on national mental health policy at the Center for School Mental Health and spent two years working in Baltimore City Public High Schools. My research has been presented at national meetings and published in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Clinical Psychology and Journal of Youth and Adolescence.
