I’m a licensed clinical social worker and board-certified supervisor for both social workers and professional counselors with over a decade of experience providing holistic, trauma-informed care. My approach integrates somatic, narrative, meaning-centered, dialectical behavior (DBT), and acceptance-based (ACT) techniques to help clients build awareness, strengthen self-compassion, and deepen connection to themselves and others. My work centers on cultivating safety, rebuilding trust in oneself, and fostering empowerment. I guide people toward integrating their emotional, physical, and intellectual worlds to live with greater resilience and a healthy sense of self. I have extensive experience supporting individuals and families impacted by complex and developmental trauma, chronic illness, burnout, and life transitions. My background includes work in both inpatient and outpatient medical and mental healthcare settings, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Before joining Starobin Counseling, I served as Internship Director and Clinical Therapist at Mindful Healing Works Wellness Center in Baltimore County, where I mentored emerging clinicians, developed training programs, and provided therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. I earned my Master’s of Social Work from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., and hold dual bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Art History from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. A significant interest of mine is working with those in high-stress professions such as military positions, healthcare workers, and first responders. At the heart of my work is a deep belief in each person’s innate capacity to heal and to rewrite the narratives that no longer serve them. Together, we’ll focus on regulating your emotions and nervous system, developing a sense of agency, and creating meaningful change one step at a time.
