Introduction

I never set out to become a therapist—but life had other plans. My path into the world of counseling began unexpectedly through wilderness therapy over twenty years ago, where I witnessed people create real, lasting change in their lives. That experience lit a spark in me that has only grown stronger. Since then, I’ve worked in a wide range of settings: wilderness programs, community mental health, schools, in-home counseling, as the head of the mental health program at Trapper Creek Job Corps, and, most recently, as the Director of Behavioral Health at Sapphire Community. I’ve also had the privilege of supervising and training many emerging therapists along the way. In my private practice, I draw on evidence-based approaches to help you calm your mind and body, shift unhelpful thought patterns, and move toward the life you want to live. I work with people of all ages (12+), with a special focus on trauma, depression, and anxiety, life transitions, relationship issues, and just about anything else. Whether you’re new to therapy or returning after time away, this is a space where you can feel seen, supported, and challenged with compassion. Counseling can be enjoyable and effective! Together, we’ll work to build a life that feels more grounded, connected, and fulfilling.
