I am a licensed resident in counseling working under the direct supervision of a licensed professional counselor and licensed supervisor. I have a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling as well as a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in child studies. Beginning therapy can feel intimidating or overwhelming, and I believe one of the most important parts of the process is finding a therapist that you can truly connect with. I work with teens, adults and families navigating mental health challenges, trauma, life transitions, interpersonal conflict, struggles with self-esteem or identity and many more issues. My approach is rooted in person-centered and humanistic principles, with influences from existential and interpersonal theories. Together, we'll explore what you're hoping to gain from therapy and build an approach that fits your goals. While I often incorporate evidence-based techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I believe these tools are most effective when they're thoughtfully integrated into a therapeutic relationship built on trust, authenticity and collaboration. Reaching out for help takes courage. Whether this is your first time in therapy or you're returning after time away, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
