I believe that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change, regardless of their life experiences, challenges, or circumstances. My goal as a therapist is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to move toward the life you want to live. I view therapy as a collaborative process and strive to meet each client where they are, helping them build on their strengths while developing practical tools to navigate life's challenges. I work with teens, adults, couples, and families experiencing concerns related to trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, emotional regulation, and developmental disabilities. My approach is strengths-based, trauma-informed, person-centered, solution-focused, and evidence-based. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and holistic approaches to help clients better understand themselves, improve coping skills, and create lasting change. My professional journey began working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in 1999, and I have been serving in the behavioral health field since 2007. Throughout my career, I have worked in community mental health, crisis intervention, intensive outpatient programs, and group therapy settings. I have facilitated DBT groups, co-facilitated equine-assisted therapy groups, and supported the development of innovative behavioral health programs designed to improve client outcomes. These experiences have given me a deep appreciation for the importance of individualized care and the resilience people demonstrate when given the right support. My passion for this work began long before I became a therapist. At the age of 11, I knew I wanted to help people who were hurting. Today, that same passion continues to guide my work. I understand that healing is rarely a straight path and that growth often comes with discomfort, uncertainty, and vulnerability. I believe that discovering and embracing your authentic self is one of the most powerful steps toward lasting change. Whether you are facing the effects of trauma, struggling with anxiety or depression, navigating relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck, I am committed to walking alongside you with compassion, authenticity, and hope as you work toward healing and a more fulfilling life. Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and husband, along with my cuddly cat. I value lifelong learning and enjoy reading, crafts, concerts, hiking, and kayaking. My own life experiences and personal challenges have shaped me into a more empathetic, relatable, and understanding therapist, and I feel honored to walk alongside my clients as they navigate their own journeys toward healing and self-discovery.
