Life sometimes leads us through paths of experiencing challenges navigating important relationships, going through grief and loss, facing tough transitions in personal, academic, or professional life, or grappling with memories of painful childhood experiences. Seeking support during these challenging times can be empowering, provide clarity and healing. In my work with clients, we start out with tapping into your strengths, resilience, expertise, and create a path towards clarity, and healing. I integrate an open, flexible, and client centered approach tailored to meet your unique individual lived experiences, needs and goals. In our journey together we will explore the challenges that have brought you to therapy, and we will strive to pursue healing by integrating your strengths, grace events, values, coping techniques as well as your racial, cultural, spiritual, gender and developmental identities. As a clinical therapist of color, I am dedicated to empowering adolescents and adults during a vulnerable time in life when you need a compassionate, supportive professional partner to walk with you. My lived experience as a Black, immigrant woman, and my professional experiences working with children, adolescents and adults, and teaching Social Work and Human development courses provide a deep understanding of lifespan development, culture, race, trauma, and diversity.
