My path into counseling didn't start in a classroom of my own; it started in the classrooms where I taught. Working with kids, I saw firsthand how much of what a child carries begins at home, and that supporting the adults in their lives could be one of the most powerful ways to support the kids. That realization is what led me to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. I work with clients ages 12–40, and I take an eclectic, trauma-informed approach pulling from CBT, faith-based frameworks, and whatever else fits the person in front of me, because no two clients need the same thing. I also believe therapy doesn't end when the session does. I like to give clients "homework" in between sessions, because real growth happens in the living of everyday life, not just in the hour we spend together. I'm bilingual in English and Spanish, and I offer sessions in both languages so clients can process their experiences in whichever feels most natural to them. More than anything, I want every client who works with me to feel seen, not judged, not rushed, not reduced to a diagnosis. Just seen, and supported, as they build the tools to move forward.
