I have wanted to be a counselor since I was a young girl, after reading Dibs in Search of Self and seeing how counseling helped a withdrawn child grow and come into his own. That desire stayed with me for years. In my mid-40s, at a career crossroads, I finally returned to school to pursue it. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling from Concordia University Irvine and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas, trained in EMDR, art therapy, and process group facilitation. I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, and life transitions. I believe we heal in relationship, just as we can be hurt in relationship, and I bring a faith-integrative, bilingual (English/Spanish) approach for clients who want that woven into their care. This work can be hard, but it is deeply rewarding. There is nothing like watching someone find hope and grow into themselves through the therapeutic relationship. My goal is to offer you that same space: one where you feel safe enough to be honest, understood, and supported as you move toward the change you are looking for.
