Hi, I’m Geer, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who believes therapy should be a space where you can show up as your full self and feel genuinely seen, respected, and understood. I work with adolescents and adults navigating trauma and PTSD, anxiety, anger, grief and loss, self-esteem concerns, attachment wounds, religious trauma, difficult life transitions, men’s issues, and LGBTQIA+ experiences. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, trauma-informed, and non-pathologizing. I believe you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you better understand yourself, work through what has been holding you back, and build greater peace, connection, and personal power. Depending on your needs, I incorporate approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), parts work, somatic techniques, and depth-oriented work that explores patterns and experiences beneath the surface. I also enjoy bringing creativity into therapy through art, writing, and music when it feels meaningful to you. Whether you’re working through past trauma, struggling with where you are right now, or trying to understand yourself on a deeper level, we’ll work together at a pace that feels safe, authentic, and meaningful to you.
