Something in you already knows something needs to change — a faith you've outgrown, a family pattern you keep repeating, or a version of yourself that stopped fitting long ago. I work with adults navigating faith transitions and religious trauma, complex developmental trauma, and the life passages that rock your foundation and ask you to build something truer in their place. My approach is relational and body-based, drawing on somatic therapy, Brainspotting, ACT, and mindfulness. The mind alone can only take you so far — healing also lives in the nervous system, in the slow work of feeling safe. I believe healing isn't mine to give — it unfolds when you feel genuinely seen. I practice in the Portland, Oregon area, in person and via telehealth statewide. Learn more at www.genetfriess.com.
