Introduction

My name is George Xiong (He/Him). I am a LCPC practicing in the state of IL, and I provide telepsychotherapy services for both individual and marital/couple clients. My therapeutic approach is rooted in mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Emotion Focused Therapy. Prior to my career in mental health I also served as a pastor and received my theological training from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Regardless of our religious practices, I believe our spiritual wellness is a crucial aspect of life that can have major impact on our wellbeing. You, as the client, will always have control of how we prioritize spiritual wellness in therapy. The goals I work to achieve with my clients are: 1) Meeting them where they are and understanding their current situation 2) Developing awareness and insight of their internal dialogue 3) Increasing understanding and regulation of their thoughts and emotions 4) Navigating how to develop safe and trusting relationships and effective communication skills. As an ADHD-Certified Clinical Service Provider, I have found great joy in assisting individuals living with ADHD (and other neurodivergent conditions) navigate the day-to-day structures and routines that allow them to thrive at home, work, and in their interpersonal relationships. This includes a special passion for helping married couples navigate the specific challenges that living with ADHD brings. As a therapist it is my duty to create safe environments and opportunities for my clients to address their concerns without judgement. We will work together to root their thoughts and emotions in truth and love, weed out and prune unhealthy beliefs and behaviors, and nurture holistic wellness and healthy relationships. FAQS How long do sessions last? -Individual Therapy sessions will typically last 50-minutes. -Marital/Couples Therapy can range from 60-90 minutes. Fees, Payment, and Out of Network Benefits? -I am currently only accepting private-pay clients, but if you are desiring to utilize your Out of Network (OON) Benefits, I can work with you to provide a superbill for insurance reimbursements. You as the client are responsible for making payments at the end of each session through the client portal. I do offer sliding scales based on availability, fit, and need. -Individual therapy: $240 (Initial Intake) / $200 (Each session following) -Marital/Couples therapy: $240 (Initial Intake) / $200 (Each session following) Does "tele-psychotherapy" work, and what should I expect? -Yes, research has shown that tele-psychotherapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy, and provides many additional benefits including accessibility, convenience, and the potential comfort of doing therapy from your own home. -However, tele-pyschotherapy may not be a great fit for every therapeutic need, which can be discussed in a free consultation call. -Once we agree that my services are a good fit for your needs, you will be given access to a HIPAA compliant client portal (website/app) to complete your intake paperwork, access scheduling, access our tele-psych video calls, and make payments. - It is best practice to situate yourself is a secure location, with a stable internet connection, in a space without distraction, and where you feel comfortable discussing sensitive information. If you have any additional questions about Rooted Therapy PLLC and the services provided, please do not hesitate to contact me by phone or through email. I look forward to assisting you with your mental health journey and enjoying the life you desire to live!
