Hi, I’m George. Many of the clients I work with feel stuck in ways they’re unsure how to change. And although they may have a sense of what’s going on, they often feel frustrated or unsure how to translate that understanding into lasting change. My approach is rooted in working with the body in a grounded, collaborative way to help people feel more at ease in their own skin. I’m a somatic therapist who specializes in complex trauma (C-PTSD), anxiety, attachment wounds, childhood trauma, panic associated with depersonalization and derealization, and existential or identity-related challenges. Many of the people I work with are motivated and self-aware, yet feel disconnected from themselves, overwhelmed internally, or unsure how to move forward in a way that feels authentic. In therapy, I integrate nervous system awareness, trauma-informed counseling, mindfulness, and parts-based work to support embodied safety, emotional regulation, and deeper identity-level change. Rather than pushing for quick fixes, I focus on exploring old patterns and unrecognized beliefs to support deep change, not just symptom management. My goal is to offer a steady, supportive space where meaningful change can unfold at a pace that feels right for you. If you’d like to learn more about me or my approach, you’re welcome to visit my website at solrootcounseling.com. I also offer a free 20-minute consultation, which can be a helpful way to ask questions, get a feel for working together, and see if this feels like a good fit.
