Introduction

Do you feel “stuck” or “hopeless” in your relationship or recovery? I would like to share with you that these are normal feelings and that there are ways to move forward from them. I have over seven years experience specializing with couples, addictions, and men’s mental health, with a specific focus on anger management and masculine identity. For couples, I focus on creating a non-judgmental space where both partners feel heard. I help couples navigate the complex intersection of relationship repair and understanding. By using Emotionally Focused Therapy, I help clients navigate on de-escalating distress, restructuring interactions and creating new communication styles to resolve old problems and move forward. Additionally, I use a Psychodynamic therapy approach to explore unconscious conflicts, early attachment patterns, and defense mechanisms to resolve deep-seated relationship issues. Working with addictions, I focus on using evidence-based addiction support while using psychodynamic therapy to help understand the underlying culprit of the patterns we have created. I focus on identifying negative patterns and building practical tools for long-term sobriety and relational stability. By using an Internal Family Systems for addictions approach, I am able to be compassionate and utilize a non-pathologizing approach that views addictive behaviors as protective strategies rather than character flaws. We will work together to better understand what the addiction is trying to protect you from - like deep emotional pain or trauma - and find healthier ways for that part to be safe. Men’s mental health is a critical but often overlooked issue. As a psychotherapist specializing in men’s health, I help clients navigate the unique social and internal pressure men face, transforming destructive anger into productive assertiveness. Utilizing a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, strength-based coaching and psychodynamic therapy, I assist men in identifying triggers and breaking the cycle of isolation and irritability.
