Giselle Nevarez is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT161445), supervised by Dr. Shannon Daneshrad (PSY34382). She works with children, adolescents, young adults, and couples navigating emotional and relational challenges. Her experience across school-based settings, community mental health, and behavioral health has shaped a flexible and grounded approach to supporting individuals and families from diverse backgrounds. Her work centers on supporting clients through anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, identity development, and relationship concerns. She draws from evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while also integrating relational, psychodynamic, and somatic-informed perspectives. Her approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and tailored to each client; balancing practical tools with space for deeper reflection and emotional processing. She provides therapy in both English and Spanish and, as a first-generation college graduate, brings a personal understanding of navigating cultural identity, family expectations, and life transitions. She strives to create a space that feels warm, respectful, and attuned, where clients can show up fully and feel supported without judgment. Her work with individuals and couples often focuses on compassionately understanding patterns, strengthening communication, and building more secure and fulfilling relationships. She supports clients in developing insight, connecting more deeply with their emotions, and fostering meaningful, lasting growth. Giselle earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in Communications, from the University of California, Davis, and her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. She is committed to helping clients feel more connected, empowered, and aligned in their lives and relationships, while offering a space where they feel truly seen, understood, and supported
