Introduction

BIO I am a Licensed Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University. I also earned my Associate of Applied Science in Social Work with a concentration in Substance Abuse Treatment from Clark State College in Springfield, Ohio, and completed both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work at The Ohio State University. I specialize in substance use treatment, dual diagnosis, crisis stabilization, emotional de-escalation, trauma-informed care, mood and anxiety disorders, and safety planning. I also have experience in psychoeducation and group facilitation, helping clients build practical coping tools for recovery and long-term stability. I approach therapy from a strengths-based and person-centered perspective, grounded in collaboration, positive regard, and empowerment. I believe that each client is the greatest authority on their own life, and my role is to serve as a facilitator—offering guidance, perspective, and evidence-based tools to help clients navigate challenges and move toward their goals. As a clinician with lived experience as a neurodivergent individual on the autism spectrum with ADHD, I bring a unique level of understanding, empathy, and insight to my work. I view this as a meaningful asset, particularly when supporting neurodivergent clients who benefit from a therapist who understands their perspective firsthand. My background includes working primarily in high-acuity and higher-level-of-care settings, where I’ve provided one-on-one support for individuals in crisis or transition. I have significant experience working with clients experiencing substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health diagnoses, PTSD, mood disorders, suicidality, and cognitive changes related to traumatic brain injury (TBI). I consider my greatest strength to be my ability to connect with clients in moments of distress and to provide calm, compassionate care that promotes stabilization and healing. Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, sewing, painting, and other art projects, as well as listening to a wide variety of music, watching and analyzing films, and spending time with my family, friends, and pets. I am passionate about providing clients with the empowerment and tools they need to overcome obstacles and find the path that best supports their healing and personal growth.
