I graduated from Grand View University with a Bachelor's in Social Work. I'm currently working towards a Master's degree in Social Work through the University of Michigan. I have been a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) for the last 2 years, working with women and their children in a residential setting. I'm joining the Good Life team as a graduate intern, supervised by Anna Zuidema, LMHC. As a therapist, I believe that healing is not only personal but collective. My goal is to empower clients using relational and justice-centered techniques, helping them build connections and address barriers to their healing process. Having a CADC has not only given me knowledge and experience on substance/behavioral addictions, but trauma and crisis care as well. I have unique experience collaborating with professionals across legal and healthcare systems, helping my clients advocate for their needs and reach their goals.
